Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines.. yes - first time

March 29th - April 2nd
Relaxing at Manilla airport
It was a horrible time of the flight to get here, out of KL 1:20 and into Manilla at 05, that do not leave much time to sleep on the plane, but I managed to get a bit, close to 3 hours, and that kept me going the next day. Btw, I only changed plane in Manilla, and was on my way to Puerto Princesa at 08:10 and arrived safely at the hostel around 10. Had to wait a bit to get the room, and I got my self comfortable at a hammock waiting for a bit. The hostel is nice, very nice and welcoming family that runs it, and they also live here, the hole family with their kids.
The hostel have been social, talked to other people at the hostel from like China, Holland and even from Norway. Have not been out dining or anything with any, but have gotten the social contact that I need, which not always is that much. Btw, it is here on Palawan the plan was to travel with Denise from Switzerland (we met at Easter Island in 2009), which would have been nice and different for me, as the lonsome traveller that I am.
It is crazy hot here, and even if I keep coming back to SE Asia, it seams like I forget how warm it is for me down here, just dripping dripping sweaty hot. At the moment I do not even have a AC, and I do not know if I have it when I come to El Nido, hope so.
Fish in my fish soup
A few opservations from this days I have been here, tryed some local food, but have so far not found anything very good. Had steak, but it was boiled with lot of fat still on it, not my taste. Fish soup, good soup, but it was two hole fish in it, so had to clean them out. But it is cheap to eat and to take a treecycle, the local motorcycle taxi. Security seems very high many places, even some resturants have armed guards in the door, not used to that from other places I have been. I can sort of understand that McDonald have armed guards, it will most likly stop people complaining about the food, and make sure that thay finish their Big Mac. :)
I have during my driving around on the motorcycle also noticed that they are very welcoming here, I have never before seen prisons with big "Welcome" sign over the gate before. Pretty amazing. I sort of felt like stopping and ask if one could visit, but I was a bit affraid that I would not be allowed to leave again. That is also why I did not stop and took photos of the prison, not always that it is popular to take photos of official building like policstation, army facilities, borders and maybe also prisons.
Out on the motorcycle

The big thing to see here, and why many come here, is the Underground river in Sabang, it can be difficult to get a visiter permit, but I managed to get one for April 17th, the day before I fly out to Singapore again. I have also rented a motorcycle for 3 days here in PP, got if for 500 PPs (72 NOK) per day, which is a good price. I have been driving it a bit around, also took the trip up to Sabang, around 80 km on way from PP. Did not do anything there, just had lunch, the fish soup and took some photos and went back. Filled the day and was a good ride.
Next stop, and it will most likely be a long one, is El Nido, up north on the island. I have planned to stay there for 2 weeks, and have all my hotels booked and payed for, so I better like it. They have dive shops up there, but I do not think the diving is very good, but I will check it out anyway, then I know. I have also found a company orgazing kayaktrips to the islands with sleeping in tents, and that is for sure an option. One of the challenges in El Nido is that they do not have any ATM´s there, and that mean that I have to carry a lot av cash to do the fun stuff, and it is also one of the reason that I have paid all my sleeping online, since that for sure gives the biggest bill.
Crocodile sanctuary
On my last day for this time in PP, I stopped at the crocodille farm, which also had some other animals captured, and it was most likely the sadest zoo I ever have seen, very runned down. About the croc´s they said that they was releasing them back to nature after some time, and that all the croc´s was animals that they have taken from people that had them unlawfully. Hope so.

Thats all for now, my first blog ever from the Philippines. :)

Kuala Lumpur again again again ..

March 26th-29th 2013
This is the 4th time in KL in 4 years, and this year as every other year I stay in Red Palm Hostel in Bukit Bintang. I did not had much plan for my stay in KL, just a stop for a couple of days on the way to Palawan.
To get to KL took a long time this year. I left Golo Hilltop at 08.00, since Sky Aviation had sendt me and email saying that my plane was leaving at 9.30 instead of 12.10. The hotel also called to check if it was correct. But, when I get to the airport they tell me that the plane is coming in to Labuan Bajo at 11! Piss me off quite a bit, and ask why I got the email about the change of time, but not much they could say about that. Just to sit back and read. 3 hours, or 3.5 hours at LBJ airport is no fun. No coffee or water to buy when you have gone throug security, one are trapped. Then my ebook runs out of power, not anything to read in anymore. Finally a bit after 11 are my plane coming, and 11.50 are we airborn, finally. 20 minuttes before original time and 2 H 20 min after changed time! The flight itself is good, just have to circle the Bali airport for 20 minuttes since it is closed for some reason. On ground at Bali around 13.45, and I only have 3 more hours to spend at this airport before my flight to KL leave at 16.55. Not much to say about the last stretch of flying, food and reading since I manged to charge the ebook at the Bali airport. Emigration is off course no problem, get a ticket for the taxi and find it, and are finally at the Red Palm 21.30. 13,5 hours travel, almost as long as it take from Europe to get down here.
March 27th
After a pretty good night sleep in my bunk bed at the 6 bed dorm a walk out in town, the only plan I have is to find the The Weld where I will be meeting Meng Yee tonight. Meng Yee visited me last summer in Stavanger with her friend Amanda, when they both where student in UK, and we had hiked to Kjerag together.
Amanda, ego and Meng Yee at Kjerag summer 2012.

Ego at Petronas tower
I find it, only 10 minuttes away from the hostel. Finds out that the walk down to Petrones Twin Tower is pretty short, only 1000 meter away, so I walk it, even if it is pretty hot. Not shopping anything else than lunch and coffee at the mall, taking some photos of the towers, takes it easy and slow.
I am a bit amazed that the twin towers are this close to the hostel, have taken public transport to get to them before.
After the "exciting" stroll in KL I find the way back up to the hostel.
Meeting with Meng Yee at the Weld a bit after 18.00, and 2 friends of her. Taking the car to the place we are going to eat. Traffic is horrible, we hardly move in the traffic jam. It takes us 1.5 hour to move 3 km.
The food is realy good, I have been taken to a local resturant that I will assume that not many turists find they way too. Meng Yee and here friend take care of the ordering of food. Rice, bean sprouts, pork w lots of chilli, chicken and fishhead curry. Share whats on the table, so everyone get everyting, and not the european way where you order and get your plate of food. The food is really good, and the fishhead and the pork is my favorittes, good and spicy, but not to spicy.
Dinner with Meng Yee and her friend
Ego at dinner.
March 28th.
I think I safely can say that I have done nothing today, but that is not really possible. So in short, eaten sushi, drinking coffee, walked through some shopping malls, bought a belt, eaten dinner, red in a book. And have not been out of Bukit Bintang. Talked to a Malaysian man from Kuta Kinabalu at the hostel, and tolled him that I was going to Philippines. He was not a fan of Philippines and he told me to be careful, and to be sure to always stay at hotels with security and if I saw any Philippines muslim I should get away. I guess he was influenced in his opinion by the resent gunfights between Philippines muslim in East Sabah where some police was shoot and killed, so in one way understandable, but he was really way out of line and was generalising the act of a few madmen.

Leaving for the airport at 22:30 tonight, and getting on a plane to Philippines at 01:20, just an horrible hour!

Dive safari in Komodo National Park

Komodo National park, March 21st-24th

On the trip, Nick and Ellie from Dive Komodo, Helen and Peter from Aquatic Alliance, Andy from Manta Watch. Henna tourist from Finnland that just finniched her Dive Master in the Philippines, Erik (The Escape) from Sweeden, doing his dive master interntship at Dive Komodo and bicycled from Sweden to Singapore. Stuart from Australia, doing his Dive master internship outside Bali and me, and off course some excelent crew on the boat take take very well care of us, get us where we want to dive and feed us. For the dive photos you can go to my Flickr page to see all of them, it is many. :)

We are a safari that have a focus on mantas rays since we have 3 experts on those great big fishes on the boat, but we have also been looking for other interesting stuff on sites where one not normally find manta rays. The boat is nice, lots of space since we are so few people on the boat, and I think that only 3 of us are paying costumers, and we are all experienced divers.
March 21st
We left the harbour first around 11 h in the morning, a bit later than planned. We have 3 dives on this day, but we start the trip with a good lunch, so food is looking promising, and as it turnes out is is great to all meals. Good "boatcooked" meals. :)

The dive of the day is 3 well known divesites, Tatawa Basar, Manta Point and Waenilu as a night dive. Unfortunatly we do not see many mantas on Manta Point on this dive, only 2 comes by, and I am not getting close to any of them, or, say it an other way, non of the mantas comes close to me. But we are passing a eagle ray on the dive, coming toward us looking for food at the sea botten. On Tattawa Besar the highligts is a close photo encounter with a pretty big cuttle fish that are showing off and flipping me off with one of his/her arms :) I also manage to find a baby Scorpion fish, so small that I am not even sure if I see a fish there, just take a photo to be sure, and get it on film. The night dive on Waenilu is cool, find lots of cool fish and crabs, flying gunnard, mini lionfish, crabs, 2 frogfish and more, fun and calm dive in the dark only seeing what comes into the light of the torch.

First day on the boat and the dives is great, the food is amazing and I eat to much I guess, but food is so good after some dives. I am bunked up with Stuert, but he sleep on the deck instead of inside, so I have the room for myself. It is extreamly hot, and I do not sleep very well. After a couple of beer for dinner, I go to bed around 21.30, good and tired after the day.
Baby scorpion fish.

March 22nd
On the the second day of the Safari, we are up around 6, and 07.21 we jump in the water at Batu Bolong. I am trying out some manual setting on the camera on this dive, not easy. Ends up with that I almost only look at the camera on not on what is around me. So I go back to autmating setting a bit, and manual again. We see 1 shark and 1 turtle, 1 murene eel, lots of nudibranchs, and the corrals are as always when you dive here amazingly colorful. A good start of the day.
After a good breakfast we go back to Manta Point, not much luck with the Manta rays this time either, I see 2, none of them close, just a short look, a black tip shart pass under us when we drift on the small current that is on the this dive.
For the third dive we go south on Komodo NP and do a dive on 3 sisters, 3 pinnacles that we explore. A great dive, sees 2 giant frogfish, a sea apple, murene eel, lionfishes and lots and lots of amazing corrals.

2 Giant Frogfish
Since we are so lucky to have Helen and Peter on the boat, and that they are invited guest we have severals "classes" with them over the days on the sea, teaching us about Manta Rays, Mule Mule, Whalesharks and other fishes and corrals that we see on a dive. Really great to get some more knowledge about what we see during a dive.
We do not do any nightdive on this day. Wich meen that we finnish the diving at 15:00, and get some time to enjoy some beers on the deck when we continue our journey south in Komodo NP. We spend the night somewhere close to Manta Alley, which is a promising name for the morning dive the next day.
Not a late night this night either, in bed around 21:00. Is is hard work to be out diving... :)

March 23rd
An other early morning, up a bit before 6. Have slept pretty good this night, found the perfect possision for the fan, so it do not blow direct on me, but sirkulate the air perfectly.
After a short boatride and some checking of the condition at the dive site, we jump into the water at Manta Alley at 7.30. There is not many Mantas at Manta Alley either, strange, we only see 2 mantas here too. Still, it is a good dive and I enjoy it, but must admit that I am a bit disapointed that the manta rays do not know their visiting hours. But there is nothing to do about that, they are wild fish, and one have to know that one might see them on a dive.
2nd dive on the day is a challenge. It is called Fisherman rock, a pilar in the middle of the sea only found with exact gps data. We are not allowed to bring the camera on this dive, it is expected to be to challenging. Anyway, I bring the Go Pro camera for some filming around, the pillar is nice, not a lot of current. We do not see any big fish, but the corrals are bloming and we get to see a big octopus at the end of the dive. Great and fun dive!
3rd dive of the day, after one good lunch is at German Flag, which is expected to be a drift dive, but as it turned out, it is not. It is a nice dive in a around in a bit caotic uw landscape. Sees 1 lobster, 1 manta scrimp and several nudi´s.
Komodo dragons at south Rinca
We are ancoring up at south Rincha after a 3 hours boatride from German Flag. When we are there we jump into the small boat and go close up to the beach to have a look at the Komodo Dragons. Teasing them with some fish, and they are pretty active and agressive to get the bite. Exciting and fun, and a tiny bit scary, spesially when the engine of the boat stops and do not start again straight away. We are gettting really close to them, a lot closer than last year in the park. Cool!

I am a little bit aware of diving after I have seen the dragons swim, but I guess they do not dive, at least I hope not.

We do the 4th dive, the night dive at Cannibal rock, that got the name after someone saw a dragon eating an other dragon on the rock. We go in the water at 18:59, I sneeze several times before the dives, and have some more during the dive. I do not know it yet, but it is the start of me getting sick. Just a cold, but anyway. The dive is amazing big time, so much colors, that one get blown away in all the beauty on the rock. It is so much color that I hardly see any interesting to take photos of, but I manage to find a sea apple, a blue spotted ray and are in line to get a photo of a slippery lobster, but do not get an good photo of it. The others are finding lots of nice stuff, so I should have stayed closer to them I guess, instead looking around close to them.
Feeding corals

Starting to have a dripping nose during the night, hit the bed around 22 after some beers on the deck and chat with the others.

March 24th
I have a bad night, not much sleep at all, 3-4 hours, and keep on sneezing on a regular basis. Make the decision during the night that I want do the morning dive, not smart to dive with a cold. Better to wait it out and be fit for more diving when I get to the Palawan, Philippines.
I am not diving this day, sad, but the way it is, and I am sure it is the smart thing to do. Spending the dives reading and wiping my dripping nose, not feeling well at all. But the nose and troat condition is changing during the day, to the better.
We are back in Labuan Bajo around 17:00, and meet each other again for dinner at the Italian resturant at 19:30. I am very tired when we meet up, not feeling to well, mostly from the lack of sleep, the health is a little bit improved. Food is nice. Back home at Golo a bit to 22:00, going straight to bed.

Even if I got sick the last night/day, it has been a great trip together with some very nice people. Thank you all for making it a great experience!

Labuan Bajo, Flores.. yeah, again this one too :)

March 16th-21th 2013

March 16th:

Then again, one of my former visited places - again. Was here one year ago, and this is also one of my maine stops this year, and I have booked in at the Golo Hilltop for 10 days this year, I had 12 last year. The plane trip over from Bali was fine, even if the plane was a bit rotten, the seat had a big hole for my ass, the table in front of me kept on falling down from it upright possision. but the importent things like engine and flaps or whatever it is called worked so fine that it got me all the way. I flew Sky Aviation, and I know for a fact that one of their plane went down when they was testing a brand new russian plane, but guess they still are pretty good at the flying thing :) A local man from Flores kept me busy talking during the flight, had a nice talk about diving, cultural differences and more, was interesting.

Lovely to be back at Golo Hilltop, they got the best view of all hotels I ever had stayed at. Have upgraded this year and have a room with AC and hot water in the shower, still pretty cheap, around NOK 300,- Checked in at Dive Komodo, booked for diving for the next 3 days plus a safari later in the week. Looking forward to get back in the sea, have not been to much diving since last time I was here.

March 17
2 dives today, got to see 10-12 dolphines from the boat on the way out, crosse around us, cool. First dive was at Batu Bolong, good dive with turtle, murray eel, tuna, ribbon snake, scorpion fish just to mention some highlights. Secon dive, Manta Point. Amazing today. Got to see 10-15 mantas, started with me laying under 1 of them for a couple of minuttes. So close that it almost slapped my face with one of here wings, 20-30 cm away from my face. Closer than that is it hard to get. Great experience, maybe better than last year. Gonna be hard to top this one, but guess I will :)
Have gotten nice and red today, even if I have used sunscreen lotion, but it burns fast on the winter white Norwegian man. Got to be careful and upgrade to factor 30 I think. Got time for some time by the pool after the diving, always good to have time for a stop there. Normal prosedure, dinner at the Golo, dinner and 2 Bintang and I should be ready for the bed around 21.30. After all it is hollyday, and then one have get up every day at 6.30, thats life.

March 18th
Got a reserve boat today, looks rotten from the outside, a little better on the inside, but it is clean and take us both ways without any problems.
2 more dives, we went to Batu Bolung again for the first dive. A bit boring, but it turned out great. Got to see a manta ray there, and that is not nomal. Got the first shark for the trip as well, just a small white tip, but anyway. The murray eel and a tuna was there today as well, and so was some nice nudi´s. Amacing corals, soft and hard and 1000´s of small fish around on the shallow, just amazing.
Got to se some dolphines from the boat today too, and even better, we saw mantarays from the boat, some swimming under us, and one that was on the top of the water eating. He(?) let the boat come up close, 4-5 meters, before it took off in a hurry. Great!
Dive nu. 2 was at Tetawah Besar, where we saw the feeding manta from the boat. This is usually a drift dive, but today we was there at low or high, and no current, just a relaxing dive among nice corrals. Turtles, 3 mantas, a big nudi, 3 cuttle fish, a blue spotted ray and the usual reef fish.
Just a nice day out, good dives and good company on the boat. Evening, just up at Golo, done some laundry by hand, surfed the net and uploaded some photos, reading and had my dinner. Will have a long day tomorrow, 3 dives, and most likely not back home before around 20H.

March 19th
First of all, we was back early today, even after 3 dives, was only 18H when I was back at Golo Hilltop, nice. Tomorrow I take the day off from diving, and I have at the moment not any ide of what I will do. But first, today.
Up at 6.15, breakfast 6.35 and off to the diveshop at 7.10, just as when i go to work. Even played some Quiz Battle with Atle over breakfast on internett, just as normal. It was almost crowded at the boat today, 6 guest, the most there have been since I came. First dive today was Manta Point. Strong current today, and it took some time without seeing any manta. When the first one come up, I could not find anything to hold on to and was swept away. Or, I took cover behind some corrals 50 meter down below from the others and waited for them. After this, the mantas kept on coming more regulary, but still a bit to far away. Was only filming during this dive, and for the last manta I managed to get close enough for some good filming, and once again I got the manta swimming right on top of me, just amazing. Happy! Second dive was at Pengah Kecil, a new spot for me I think, can not remember it from last year. Amazing corrals, lots for fish from big Giant Trawally to small nudi´s, went deep compare to Manta Point, so had to watch the bottom time so I didn´t go into deco, but not any problem really, just to keep an eye on the computer.
Third dive for the day was a muck dive at Waenilu, shallow dive to max 12 meter, looking for small stuff, very small stuff. I do not find it mayself, but the instructor Nick that leaded the dive have an extraordinare good eye for it, and find the smallest thing. When he find the small "thing", you should really look for the tiny "thing" living on the small "thing":)
Evening, have just spendt it at Golo, dinner and edited some manta filming, trying to get the best of the many cuts, not easy, but are slowly getting there.

March 20th
A day of doing nothing, sleeping longer, till 7, starting the day reading on the veranda in front of the cabin, just a smooth start of the day. Breakfast and a trip down town for some small shopping, paying for the diving, INR 8 500 000,- for that fun, then back to the pool at Golo, just reading and chillin and having a small lunch. Came in fact some rain today, a pretty hard rain shower for about 1 hour or so, then nice again.
Tonight, pack for the dive safari, and go to a lecture about Manta Rays, will get it again on the boat one of the next days.
Interresting lecture about the Manta Rays, educational and interesting. Will be cool to be on the boat with this people the next days. Think we will be a small and good group, looks that way.
Fun, when I walked back up from Paradise bar to the Golo, I noticed some flying lights in the bushes, and most likely it was fireflies, can not remember that I have seen that before.
Next blog will most likely be about Manta Rays and the dive safari :)

March 25th
Back at Golo from the dive safari. As I said/say in the Safari blog I got sick, and it makes me happy to say that I am a lot better today, after a good nights sleep. Not a 100 % yet, but a lot better.
Today I have not done anything, just been writing on the blog, got some money so I can get out of Indonesia tomorrow, and chillin by the pool.
I am flying over Denpasar to KL, where I will stay for 2 days before I continue to Palawan, Philippines on the night till Friday, Good Friday as it happen to be. A big day in Philippines, the day of crucifiction somewhere in Philippines, but not where I am going I think.

Sanur, Bali, Indonesia .. and f**@* Kuta

March 13th-16th 2013

Statue from Bali New Year.

Bali again, didn´t really want to go here again this year, but here I am, and it is pretty good and relaxing I must admit.

No running around in shops, just chillin by the pool and reading and getting adjustet to be on hollyday and not do much else then that, and some eating when one get hungry. Or, most likely eat before one get hungry.

I am staying at the same hotel as last year in Sanur, Amansari Villa. Not a fancy hotel, but fancy enaough for me. Got AC and swimmingpool and a pretty ok breakfast, short way to the beach and many nice resturants just around the corner.

Friday after breakfast one of the staff came over and told me that the boss had to talk to me on the phone. I got an explenation about some error on the plumming in an other room, so they needed to transfer me to an other hotel. Not much I could say against that, even if I had not seen any plumming problems in my room. Got to ask where is the other hotel, and it was in f**@* Kuta, shit, I hate that place and I haven´t even been there, and I still hate it after I have been here. Honestly, I have not seen much of it, do not want to. The hotel itself was an nice upgrade, Best Westen Kuta, a lot nicer room in a nicer hotel, still I liked the Amansari Villa better. I have made a small walk on one of the main road i Kuta, and it did not appeal to me. Got ripped of in a taxi back to the hotel, changed to walk to the pool for a swim and some reading, it started to rain hard when I changed. So, back in the room doing some blog instead watching some news on the tv.

Tomorrow, Saturday, I fly back to Labuan Bajo, Flores. Looks forward to that, will have 10 nights at Golo Hilltop hotel, yes - same as last year. The plan is diving, first 3 days of day dives, where I sleep at the hotel, 1 day break, and the 4 days/3 nights out on the oacen the sleeping boat and dive for mantas during the day beforee I get back on land and have a day out of the water before I fly to KL. For the one of you that know diving, I will stop diving on Sunday 44-48 hours before my flight. out, no worries.

Kuta street

Evening update: Ended up staying at the hotel for the evening, watching HBO, having a pretty good buffet dinner with some drinks at the hotel resturant. Was raining, and a bit of a walk downtown to the nearest resturants, so I did not bother. And, was a bit good to have a tv and internett evening at home I must admit, the first in a week, and most likely last for a bit of time.

Dinner by the pool at the hotel.

Singapore, once again

Singapore March 9th-13th 2013
Just some random writing about my stay in Singapore, just how the toughts fell into my head. :)

My ride to Singapore.

A good flight down to Singapore, with a change of plane in Frankfurt. No delays, plenty of space in my economy seat and managed to sleep a little bit. Not much, just so I wasn´t a total wreck when I got in to the hostel around 18:00. Got a shower, a cheap meal and a few beer down at Boat Quay, the meal was not at BQ, but in a back street. Why to expencive down there. But a nice spot for some people watching over a couple of beers.

Boat Quay
It is my 4th visit to Singpore in 4 years, always nice to get back here, but I do not know what I want to see here this time. My only plan is to meet up with Heidi, shop for some more summer clotes and live my life in AC spaces on the MRT and on shopping malls with some visits outside in the heat too off course.

Waiting for the MRT at Orchard
The 2 first nights have been bad when it comes to sleeping, slept long enaugh, but awake from around 3 to 6, boring. On my birthday, the 11th, I managed to sleep till 12.30, chocking! Breakfast first 14.30, so a bit out of routine can one say. My sleep in Singapore have been bad, every night I have been awake from around 3-5, some kind of jetlegg, and also from sleeping in a dorm again maybe, the heat, I am not sure.
On March 11th. one year ago, I managed to fullfill my biggest physical challenge I will say, and reached Everest Base camp, I am still impressed over myself for that, more this year than I was a year ago.
Social life haven´t been that bad in Singapore, out with some people from CS on Sunday night, local people, Singaporians or other living here for some time. On my birthday, I went out for some dinner and drinks with some people from the hostel, nice company, even if I didn´t tell them that I had a birthday. Then I met up with Heidi and Luis later for a drink and some more food, who knew it was my b day. So, I´m happy with my b day.

Waiting for my food on some food market.
Days in Singapore, well, it has been shopping, eating and drinking - coffee and some beer - both moderate. Shopping, not so moderate. Treated myself with a Gopro videocam for my upcoming mantadiving and for kayaking when I get home, also a new lifeproof case for the iphone, waterproof down to 2 m - excelent when out kayaking. A bit cheaper here than home, and since I am on hollyday budget it is different money than home. :)
So far all from Singapore for now. Be back here in 5 weeks.

Packing for a trip

I like to plan my travelling well, that also mean my packing. Since I have done this a few times, the packing list is almost ready, whatever trip I am going on, just need a bit of adjustment from trip to trip.
Then, when the day comes when I need to start the packing, it all goes on the bed, and it is just to hope that it is possible to get it all into the way to big backpack, and that the weight is under 20 kg. And it all fitted in this year as well, and the big ones weight is 15 kg when I leave home. Good, room for some shopping on the way. :) The small one is most likely around 5 kg as well, got the photo equipment and ipad there, the stuff that need to be handled carefully and still fit in the overhead compartment on the plane.

Then, I am all good to go to SEA again. Gonne be good the get back in the heat. Was so lucky yesterday that I found out that Dive Komodo has a 3 night 4 days manta ray safari when I am on Flores, and they had a space for me, I am in :)
